Week 3 starts tomorrow

Sutures out yesterday.  No cone and  ....tulip girl is no more.

14 days post vet tech shares she puts good weight on leg and no need for sling.   Cage rest continues for 6 more weeks.
Our vet refilled both pain meds one tramadol the other rimadyl she is slow moving but no yelping in pain as in first week.
Her personality is back.   Her new Xmas toy is a hit..

Her first 4weeks of cage rest have someone being home because of vacation breaks.   Her time out of crate is on leash rest while we watch movies or just sitting outside on a blanket with us.

Success depends totally on us.

week 1 of 8

She's managed to find peace amongst 2 pugs the daughter and her new residence and everyone finishing this last week of work.   New  routine of  wake up, get meds, eat breakfast, take a bathroom break and finish with massage and movements.     It takes an hour every morning,  but hoping time spent now will pay off later.
Such a good good girl.

TPLO or Mattie is a flower

Initials associated with dog knees.
University of Missouri Veterinary Teaching Hospital was a first encounter  and it was graduation weekend.  She slipped on ice and  fell up while looking at semi trucks idling at the Oklahoma  travel stop.  So I'm reactivating the blog, reading everything I can find on TPLO and will practice writing, correct spelling and give gentle leg massage with  in and out movement of injured leg three times a day.
